STRATEGIC DIAGNOSTIC · SERVICES
The story you tell yourself, and the story the world hears back.
Brand Perception & Growth Audit. A paid strategic diagnostic — the entry point into Aflak's ecosystem. Clarity before craft.
FORMAT
Three sessions · 2–3 weeks
CLIENT TIME
Two live sessions with leadership. The analysis is ours.
Five questions the
audit answers
Every engagement is built on these. If you can answer all five with evidence, you don’t need an audit.
We interview leadership separately, then compare. The intended brand is rarely one story — it is three or four, held by people who each assume everyone else holds the same one. Putting that on paper is the first thing the audit does.
Your market position, your existing media footprint, and the language audiences use when they describe you back. Not sentiment — evidence. What is published, what performs, and what gets repeated without you prompting it.
The distance between the brand you intend and the brand people receive. We map it across the customer journey, stage by stage, so the gap has a location rather than a feeling.
Gaps persist for reasons — a positioning that was never actually decided, a channel doing work it was not built for, a proof point nobody has captured. We name the primary cause, and the secondary ones feeding it.
One prioritised roadmap, sequenced, with estimated investment ranges. Ordered by importance and tied directly to the diagnosis — not a menu of services, and clearly labelled as estimates rather than guarantees.
Before we make anything, we find out what’s true.
The audit is paid precisely so the diagnosis can stay honest.
There’s almost always a gap between the story an organisation tells itself and the story the world hears back. Most media spend is an attempt to close that gap without ever having measured it.
The Brand Perception & Growth Audit measures it. We interview leadership on vision and business reality, read your market position, examine your existing media footprint, map how audiences actually move through your experience — then name the gap between the brand you intend and the brand people receive.
The output is not a mood board. It is a written diagnosis, a single core insight, and a prioritised roadmap credible enough to act on — whether Aflak executes the next step or your own team does.
- 5 diagnostic stages
- 3 sessions, two of them live
- 1 core strategic insight
The process, stage by stage
Select a stage to open its detail.
Understand → Diagnose → Locate → Direct → Recommend.
Stage 01 · Understand
Intake & Discovery
We start with what leadership believes, said out loud and on the record. Then we read the category around it.
- 01Leadership vision and business-reality interview
- 02The five core questions — belief, reality, gaps, blockers, next move
- 03Market position, category review, stakeholder and internal inputs
Stage 02 · Diagnose
Diagnostic Analysis
The longest stage, and the one you don’t sit in. Audience, media footprint, journey, pricing, internal alignment.
- 01Audience demographics — current versus target
- 02Media footprint review: social, press history, archive quality
- 03Customer experience, journey, conversion, retention and offer structure
Stage 03 · Locate
Gap Identification
Naming the distance between the brand you intend and the brand people actually receive.
- 01Gaps between brand ideals and brand experience
- 02Strategic, creative, perceptual and operational blockers
- 03Growth-readiness assessment
Stage 04 · Direct
Strategy & Roadmap
A diagnosis without direction is just criticism. This stage turns findings into sequence.
- 01Growth-objective alignment against 1–3 year targets
- 02Narrative priorities and visual-identity standards
- 03Content hierarchy, distribution sequencing, Media Strategy Brief
Stage 05 · Recommend
Delivery
A live findings presentation, with room for disagreement. Then the recommendation — Aflak, or your own team.
- 01Written audit report and credible roadmap
- 02Findings presentation to leadership
- 03Recommendation for execution — via Aflak or your own team
Who this is for — and
who it isn’t.
- Consumer brands and founders about to spend seriously on media for the first time.
- Government and civic bodies accountable to an audience they cannot fully see.
- Festival and event organizers whose turnout no longer matches their reputation.
- Non-profits and charities whose case for support reads differently to funders than it does internally.
- Commercial real estate and expo operators who need leasing proof and tenant retention, not event aesthetics.
- Organizations who want the findings to confirm a decision already made.
- Teams needing a single deliverable this week — this is a diagnostic, not production.
- Anyone unwilling to put leadership in the room for two hours.
- Projects where the real constraint is budget, not clarity. We will say so on the call instead.
What you walk away with
Six artefacts. All yours, whether or not Aflak executes the next step.
-
01
A written audit report
Vision against reality, brand perception and positioning, competitive and category read, customer-journey gap analysis.
-
02
One core strategic insight
A single sentence naming what is actually happening beneath the symptoms.
-
03
A defined problem statement
The primary problem, plus the secondary gaps feeding it.
-
04
Prioritised recommendations
Ordered by importance and tied directly to the diagnosis — not a menu of services.
-
05
A Media Strategy Brief
The document that orients all downstream work, whoever executes it.
-
06
A sequenced roadmap
Proposed timelines with estimated investment ranges. Estimates, clearly labelled — never guarantees.
Two things reliably shift after
the findings session.
-
Leadership finally agreed on one story.
The most common effect of the findings session is not a new idea — it is the end of an internal argument nobody had named. One narrative, one hierarchy, one set of priorities.
Internal alignment -
The board and the funders read the same narrative.
When the written report travels, the story stops mutating between rooms. Boards, funders and sponsors receive the same case, in the same order, with the same evidence behind it.
External consistency
The diagnosis stays honest because the next step is optional.
You leave the findings session with a clearer read of your own business than you walked in with. What happens next is a decision, not a default.
-
Path A
Aflak executes
The Media Strategy Brief becomes the scope. Production, coverage or infrastructure quoted against the roadmap you already approved.
-
Path B
Your team executes
You keep every artefact. The brief is written to be handed to an internal team or another studio without translation.
-
Path C
Nothing, for now
You still leave with a clearer read of your own business than you walked in with. The diagnosis does not expire.
